Disney’s All-Star Music Resort

Themed courtyards, the pools, and the suite that sleeps six

A three-storey guitar stands in for a facade. A jukebox the size of a building marks the entrance to a courtyard. The five courtyards at All-Star Music each carry a musical genre, country, jazz, rock, calypso and Broadway show tunes, and the props are built to the scale of the child looking at them, which is to say enormous. Parents take pictures while the children run the length of the property before they have seen a single park.

The main pool is shaped like a guitar, with the Three Caballeros fountain at its centre and a kiddie pool beside it. The second reproduces a grand piano, deck laid out in black and white keys included. Intermission Food Court lines up its serving stations and a deli-style market, open from morning until late in the evening.

The real argument for this address is in the rooms. All-Star Music is the only one of the three All-Star resorts to offer family suites. Its two neighbours, Sports and Movies, both cap out at four occupants per room. The Music suite sleeps six, with one queen bed and two pull-down beds also in queen format, two full bathrooms and a kitchenette with refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker.

For a family of five or six driving down from Quebec, that changes the arithmetic of the whole stay: one room instead of two, one key, two bathrooms on the morning everyone gets ready at once. These suites are limited in number and they go early. Your advisor can price both options for your dates before you decide.

What a Disney property address gives you

Disney lists these benefits on its own page, and they deserve naming one by one, because most comparisons blur them together.

Early theme park entry. Thirty minutes ahead in all four parks, every day of the stay. The difference between riding two headline attractions and queueing ninety minutes for one.

Parking included. Standard parking at the theme parks, the water parks and the Disney Springs area costs nothing. Off property, it is paid every morning.

Lightning Lane seven days ahead. The general public buys them three days out. On the most sought-after attractions, four days of lead time change the shape of a trip, and it is the least known advantage of the lot.

Restaurants, the whole stay at once. Everyone books sixty days out. The difference is the block: from here you book the full length of the stay on day sixty, up to ten nights. A guest staying off property books one day at a time and arrives behind.

Disney transport. Buses, boats, monorail and the Disney Skyliner, at no charge. And MagicBand+ opens the room, enters the park and charges purchases to the folio.

Value, Moderate, Deluxe: what the words hide

Disney sorts its hotels into four families, and the gap between them is not only about luxury. A Value address gives plain rooms, a food court and buses. A Moderate adds a table-service restaurant, themed pools and more space. A Deluxe adds location — often walking distance or a monorail ride from a park — and extended evening hours. The Deluxe Villas add a kitchen and a laundry.

Everything else is identical: early entry, parking included, Lightning Lane at seven days, the dining booking block, Disney transport. A family choosing a Value does not give up the property benefits; it gives up space and distance.

Extended evening hours: what this category does not get

Disney reserves extended evening theme park hours for its Disney Deluxe Resorts and Disney Deluxe Villas, on select nights. The Disney's All-Star Music Resort is not among them.

Getting around from the hotel

All-Star Music is served by bus, and by bus alone. The monorail, the Skyliner and the boats serve other sectors of the property. Buses connect the four theme parks, both water parks and Disney Springs. The three All-Star resorts sit side by side, and their routes are sometimes combined outside peak periods, which adds a stop or two on the way back at night. Keep twenty minutes of margin on a dining reservation or an early entry morning.

One thing to know whatever the hotel: delivery of park purchases to the room no longer exists. The service has not returned since 2020 and Disney no longer lists it among its benefits. Many Quebec listings still advertise it. What remains: pickup at the front of the park at the end of the day, or shipping home.

Who this hotel suits

This hotel suits the family that wants to sleep on Disney property at the entry price, spends its days in the parks and comes back for the pool and for bed. It suits a family of five or six above all, thanks to the family suite the other two All-Star resorts do not have. Standard rooms stay rooms: one queen bed, one pull-down bed, and that is the whole of it. A traveller looking for table service, a spa or a view over water will do better in the Moderate and Deluxe categories.
