Disney’s Beach Club Villas

Stormalong Bay, a kitchen, and EPCOT on foot

The Beach Club Villas occupy a building beside Disney's Beach Club Resort, in the same New England seaside style. Their guests have access to Stormalong Bay, the three-acre pool with its lazy river, its sand bottom and its slide starting from the mast of a wrecked ship, reserved for guests of the Beach Club and the Yacht Club. Add a kitchen inside the unit and a ten-minute walk to EPCOT's International Gateway.

The units, and the same quirk as at the boardwalk

Studios sleep five, with a queen bed, a queen pull-down and a single pull-down, plus a kitchenette. The one-bedroom villa sleeps four, with a full kitchen and a bathroom with two sink areas. The two-bedroom villa sleeps eight, with two full bathrooms and a full kitchen.

Here too the studio sleeps more people than the one-bedroom villa: five against four. A family of five that wants the full kitchen therefore moves up to the two-bedroom villa, or accepts the studio's kitchenette. That is not a catalogue subtlety, it is the difference between two budgets.

The tables, one door away

The Beach Club next door adds Cape May Cafe, a buffet in the morning and seafood in the evening, and Beaches & Cream for sundaes. Several travel listings still advertise a character breakfast at Cape May Cafe: the offer published by the hotel no longer mentions it, so have it confirmed before promising it to the children. The Yacht Club, on the same grounds, adds Yachtsman Steakhouse and Ale & Compass.

What a Disney Vacation Club villa changes

A villa is not a larger hotel room. It is a home. Studios add a kitchenette with refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker. One-bedroom villas and larger add a full kitchen with range, dishwasher and dishes, plus a washer and dryer inside the unit. For a family coming down from Quebec for ten days, that means breakfast at the table rather than in a queue, and one suitcase less.

Two things deserve spelling out before booking. Housekeeping first: in a Disney Vacation Club villa it is not done daily as in a hotel room, and the arrangement depends on the type of booking and the length of stay. Have your advisor confirm it. Then availability: these units go first to club members, and the nights offered for cash come out sparingly. Booking early is worth more here than anywhere else on the property.

What a Disney property address gives you

Disney lists these benefits on its own page, and they deserve naming one by one, because most comparisons blur them together.

Early theme park entry. Thirty minutes ahead in all four parks, every day of the stay. The difference between riding two headline attractions and queueing ninety minutes for one.

Parking included. Standard parking at the theme parks, the water parks and the Disney Springs area costs nothing. Off property, it is paid every morning.

Lightning Lane seven days ahead. The general public buys them three days out. On the most sought-after attractions, four days of lead time change the shape of a trip, and it is the least known advantage of the lot.

Restaurants, the whole stay at once. Everyone books sixty days out. The difference is the block: from here you book the full length of the stay on day sixty, up to ten nights. A guest staying off property books one day at a time and arrives behind.

Disney transport. Buses, boats, monorail and the Disney Skyliner, at no charge. And MagicBand+ opens the room, enters the park and charges purchases to the folio.

Extended evening hours, the advantage that shows least and is worth most

Disney reserves extended evening theme park hours for its Disney Deluxe Resorts and Disney Deluxe Villas, on select nights. The Disney's Beach Club Villas is among them.

In practice: the park closes to the public and you stay in it. Queues collapse, photographs become possible, and attractions that wanted ninety minutes at three in the afternoon follow one another in twenty. It is the benefit that best justifies the gap with a lower category, and almost nobody sells it properly.

Getting around from the hotel

EPCOT is reached on foot through the International Gateway, about ten minutes along Crescent Lake. A boat and the Skyliner run to Disney's Hollywood Studios. Magic Kingdom Park and Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park are reached by bus. Disney posts refurbishment under way, with no published schedule.

One thing to know whatever the hotel: delivery of park purchases to the room no longer exists. The service has not returned since 2020 and Disney no longer lists it among its benefits. Many Quebec listings still advertise it. What remains: pickup at the front of the park at the end of the day, or shipping home.

Who this hotel suits

These villas suit the family that wants a pool day worth a park day and a kitchen for the rest of the stay. They suit a group of eight with the two-bedroom villa, and anyone who puts EPCOT at the centre of the trip. They suit less well anyone whose priority is Magic Kingdom Park: from this sector that park is reached by bus only.
