Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort

Six villages around a lake, and the Skyliner's hub

Caribbean Beach spreads low, colourful buildings around a large lake, in six villages named for islands: Aruba, Jamaica, Martinique, Barbados and the two Trinidads. The walls are pink, turquoise, ochre. Palms, white sand beaches with no swimming, hammocks slung between two trunks. The walk from a village to the central building is measured in minutes, sometimes in tens of minutes, and that is the first thing to know here.

The main pool, Fuentes del Morro, imitates a colonial fortress: zero-entry, water cannons, two slides including a long run through the fortress wall, and a whirlpool spa. Beside it, a water play area reserved for children under 122 cm, with three small slides and a barrel that tips over their heads. Five quieter pools are spread through the villages, which counts when the day is over and nobody wants to walk any more.

At the table, Centertown Market serves self-service all day, Sebastian's Bistro offers table service in the evening with Caribbean cooking, and Banana Cabana serves poolside. Table service is exactly one of the things that separate a Moderate address from a Value one: here you can have dinner without leaving the resort and without queueing at a counter.

The Skyliner's hub

Caribbean Beach is the central station of the Disney Skyliner. The lines from Pop Century, Art of Animation, the Riviera and EPCOT's International Gateway converge here, and this is where guests change cabins. For someone staying at this hotel, that means boarding at the start of the line, with no transfer, to EPCOT as to Disney's Hollywood Studios.

Rooms come with two queen beds, and some of them add a small pull-down bed for a child. That makes four adults plus one child in a single room, which settles the family of five without moving up to a suite. This room category has to be requested explicitly when booking: it does not get assigned on its own. A king bed room exists as well, for two.

What a Disney property address gives you

Disney lists these benefits on its own page, and they deserve naming one by one, because most comparisons blur them together.

Early theme park entry. Thirty minutes ahead in all four parks, every day of the stay. The difference between riding two headline attractions and queueing ninety minutes for one.

Parking included. Standard parking at the theme parks, the water parks and the Disney Springs area costs nothing. Off property, it is paid every morning.

Lightning Lane seven days ahead. The general public buys them three days out. On the most sought-after attractions, four days of lead time change the shape of a trip, and it is the least known advantage of the lot.

Restaurants, the whole stay at once. Everyone books sixty days out. The difference is the block: from here you book the full length of the stay on day sixty, up to ten nights. A guest staying off property books one day at a time and arrives behind.

Disney transport. Buses, boats, monorail and the Disney Skyliner, at no charge. And MagicBand+ opens the room, enters the park and charges purchases to the folio.

Value, Moderate, Deluxe: what the words hide

Disney sorts its hotels into four families, and the gap between them is not only about luxury. A Value address gives plain rooms, a food court and buses. A Moderate adds a table-service restaurant, themed pools and more space. A Deluxe adds location — often walking distance or a monorail ride from a park — and extended evening hours. The Deluxe Villas add a kitchen and a laundry.

Everything else is identical: early entry, parking included, Lightning Lane at seven days, the dining booking block, Disney transport. A family choosing a Value does not give up the property benefits; it gives up space and distance.

Extended evening hours: what this category does not get

Disney reserves extended evening theme park hours for its Disney Deluxe Resorts and Disney Deluxe Villas, on select nights. The Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort is not among them.

Getting around from the hotel

The Disney Skyliner runs from the resort to EPCOT and to Disney's Hollywood Studios, with no transfer. Magic Kingdom Park and Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park are reached by bus. The Skyliner stops running in high wind or lightning, and buses take over, which lengthens the trip. On site the resort is spread out: ask for a village close to the central building if walking is hard for you. Disney also posts construction and refurbishment under way, with no published schedule.

One thing to know whatever the hotel: delivery of park purchases to the room no longer exists. The service has not returned since 2020 and Disney no longer lists it among its benefits. Many Quebec listings still advertise it. What remains: pickup at the front of the park at the end of the day, or shipping home.

Who this hotel suits

This hotel suits the family that wants two parks reachable by gondola, a proper restaurant on site and space around the buildings, without moving up to Deluxe. It also suits four adults and a child, thanks to the pull-down bed rooms. A traveller who hates walking, or who travels with a double stroller and an elderly parent, should ask for a village close in or look at a more compact address.
