The DoubleTree Suites by Hilton Orlando sits in the Disney Springs area, a few minutes’ walk from the shops and restaurants. Two things set it apart from the dozens of hotels that call themselves close to Disney: it rents only two-room suites, and it appears by name on Disney’s official list for early theme park entry.

What “Disney Good Neighbor” means, and what it does not

The Good Neighbor programme is a commercial recognition Disney grants to hotels outside its property. Disney commits to three things: a guest services desk able to help plan a stay, park tickets sold on site, and transportation to the parks, which may carry a fee depending on the hotel.

The status itself grants no benefit inside the parks. It does not give extended evening hours, nor the seven-day window to buy Lightning Lane passes, nor free Disney transportation, nor included theme park parking, nor charging to the room. Those belong to Disney Resorts Collection hotels and to a few addresses Disney names one by one.

The distinction looks technical. It is not: it changes what your family can do every morning and every evening of the stay.

Early entry, and why this hotel has it

Disney publishes a list of named properties whose guests receive thirty minutes of early entry, at all four theme parks, every day of the stay. The DoubleTree Suites by Hilton Orlando is on that list.

Hold on to the nuance, because it is the part that matters: it is not the Good Neighbor label that opens the gates thirty minutes early, it is being named on that list. Dozens of hotels in the area carry the label and get nothing. You need valid admission and hotel identification at the gate.

Thirty minutes does not sound like much on paper. In the queue for Seven Dwarfs Mine Train or Slinky Dog Dash, it is the difference between riding now and waiting an hour and a half.

Two-room suites rather than rooms

It is the only all-suite hotel among the seven in the Disney Springs area. One-bedroom suites offer two queen beds and a large sofa bed. Two-bedroom suites close off both rooms, with a king on one side and two queens on the other.

That is the answer to the problem every party of five or more runs into in Orlando: at Disney, the four-occupant ceiling is only cleared in the upper categories. A door that closes between parents and children, after a day in the parks, is worth more than a theme on the walls.

The outdoor pool has its whirlpool and its splash play area for children.

The shuttle, the parking and the trap to avoid

The hotel offers shuttles to the theme parks, booked at the desk. They are run by the area hotels rather than by Disney, and departures begin about two hours before the parks open, which leaves time to use early entry.

Now the trap, because it is expensive and it catches families every year: free parking at the hotel does not mean free parking at the park. Theme park parking is included for guests of Disney Resorts Collection hotels. Good Neighbor guests pay it, every day.

A second point, brand new: since 28 June 2026, Disney checks room keys and reservations on its buses leaving Disney Springs. The old trick of parking at Disney Springs to catch the Disney network no longer works.

Disney Springs on foot

That is this address’s daily advantage. More than a hundred and thirty shops, restaurants and venues within walking distance, with no car, no shuttle and no parking to hunt for. On the evenings when nobody has the energy for a sit-down meal, you walk out and walk back.

Golf tee times can be booked up to ninety days ahead on the Walt Disney World Resort championship courses, with discounts on greens fees and equipment rental.

Who this hotel suits

It suits families of five or more who want two rooms, travellers combining Walt Disney World and Universal Orlando in one trip, and anyone who likes ending the evening at Disney Springs rather than in a hotel corridor. Nights count toward Hilton Honors, which no Disney hotel allows.

It suits less anyone who wants extended evening hours in the parks or the seven-day Lightning Lane window: both stay out of reach here, whichever Good Neighbor hotel you choose.
