The Holiday Inn Orlando is one of the seven hotels in the Disney Springs area, within walking distance of the restaurants and shops. It also appears on Disney’s official list for early theme park entry, and it is that second sentence that decides what the address is worth.

What “Disney Good Neighbor” means, and what it does not

The Good Neighbor programme is a commercial recognition Disney grants to hotels outside its property. Disney commits to three things: a guest services desk able to help plan a stay, park tickets sold on site, and transportation to the parks, which may carry a fee depending on the hotel.

The status itself grants no benefit inside the parks. It gives neither extended evening hours, nor the seven-day window to buy Lightning Lane passes, nor free Disney transportation, nor included theme park parking, nor charging to the room. Those belong to Disney Resorts Collection hotels and to a few addresses Disney names one by one.

Early entry, and why this hotel has it

Disney publishes a list of named properties whose guests receive thirty minutes of early entry, at all four theme parks, every day of the stay. The Holiday Inn Orlando is on that list.

The nuance matters: it is not the Good Neighbor label that opens the gates thirty minutes early, it is being named on that list. Dozens of hotels in the area carry the label and get nothing. You need valid admission and hotel identification at the gate.

Thirty minutes sounds like little on paper. In front of Seven Dwarfs Mine Train on a March morning, it is the difference between riding now and waiting an hour and a half.

The shuttle, the parking and the trap to avoid

The Disney Springs area hotels run their own bus network to the four parks, independent of Disney’s, with departures starting about two hours before opening, which leaves time to use early entry.

Now the trap: free parking at the hotel does not mean free parking at the park. Theme park parking is included for guests of Disney Resorts Collection hotels. Good Neighbor guests pay it, every day.

And since 28 June 2026, Disney checks room keys and reservations on its buses leaving Disney Springs. The trick of parking there to catch the Disney network no longer works.

Dining reservations, one day at a time

Here is a difference almost nobody explains correctly. Everyone books Disney tables sixty days ahead. What guests of Disney hotels get is the whole stay released at once on that sixtieth day.

Staying here, you book one day at a time, each at sixty days. Over a seven-night stay, the family on Disney property takes the sought-after tables on the first morning; you come back seven mornings running. For Be Our Guest or Space 220, that is where it is decided. An advisor who knows the mechanics still wins you those tables.

Disney Springs on foot

More than a hundred and thirty shops, restaurants and venues within walking distance. No car, no shuttle, no parking to hunt for. On the evenings when nobody has the energy for a sit-down meal, you walk out and walk back.

Golf tee times can be booked up to ninety days ahead on the Walt Disney World Resort championship courses, with discounts on greens fees and equipment rental.

Who this hotel suits

It suits families who want Disney Springs on foot and early entry at the parks, without the price of an address on property. It suits anyone combining Walt Disney World and Universal Orlando in one trip. Nights count toward IHG One Rewards, which no Disney hotel allows.

It suits less anyone who cares about extended evening hours in the parks or the seven-day Lightning Lane window: both stay out of reach, whichever Good Neighbor hotel you choose.
