Hôtel Walt Disney World Swan Reserve

The Walt Disney World Swan Reserve is the youngest of the three, opened in November 2021, across Epcot Resorts Boulevard from the Swan. It carries Marriott’s Autograph Collection brand and stands apart on a figure few families know: of its 349 rooms, 149 are suites.

The smallest of the three, and the richest in suites

Forty-three per cent of the rooms are suites. In an area where families of five or six run into the four-occupant ceiling everywhere, that proportion matters more than any decorating argument. It is the first reason to look at this hotel rather than its two neighbours.

Gensler designed the building, and it breaks with the Michael Graves shapes across the street: straight lines, muted tones, the feel of an urban retreat. Disney files it among “Other Select Hotels,” a category separate from the Disney Resorts Collection. Disney owns the land, Tishman Hotel & Realty and MetLife own the building, and Marriott operates it.

An EPCOT-area address, with the walk and the boat

The Swan Reserve opens onto the same network as the Swan and the Dolphin. The path leads to EPCOT’s International Gateway entrance by way of the BoardWalk, and on to Disney’s Hollywood Studios a little further. Allow a few minutes more than from the Swan, since you cross the boulevard first.

Friendship boats leave from the complex docks: about twenty minutes to EPCOT with stops at the BoardWalk, the Yacht Club and the Beach Club, about ten minutes direct to Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Service starts roughly an hour before the parks open.

For Magic Kingdom Park and Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park, the bus is the way, every twenty to thirty minutes, run by Mears rather than Disney transportation. The Disney Skyliner does not serve the hotel, though you can walk to the International Gateway and board there.

Extended evening hours, the benefit half the web will tell you that you do not have

Swan Reserve guests do get Extended Evening Theme Park Hours. Disney’s own page devoted to the benefit names the Swan Reserve alongside the Swan, the Dolphin and Shades of Green. Access dates back to October 2021, the hotel’s opening, and has never been withdrawn.

The designated park stays open about two hours past regular closing, for guests of those hotels only. In 2026, EPCOT takes Mondays and Magic Kingdom Park takes Wednesdays, with Disney’s Hollywood Studios added to the rotation and a fuller calendar at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park. Disney confirms the benefit through 2027.

The confusion comes from Disney’s own pages: the general benefits page mentions only Disney Deluxe Resorts and Disney Deluxe Villa Resorts, while the dedicated page names the select hotels. Have the calendar confirmed for your dates.

Early entry and the seven-day window

Thirty minutes before official opening, at all four theme parks, every day of the stay, arrival and departure days included. You need valid admission and a MagicBand, a Disney MagicMobile pass or a Key to the World Card.

Swan Reserve guests also buy their Lightning Lane passes seven days before arrival, for the length of the stay, while the general public waits until three. Sales open at seven in the morning, Eastern time. One useful note: Disney’s benefits page writes “Swan and Dolphin Hotels” without naming the Swan Reserve separately, which leaves some guests unsure. Its own Disney page does name it.

Tables and pools

Four addresses in the building: Amare for Mediterranean cooking, the Stir cocktail bar, Tangerine for American fare and Grounds for coffee. The rooftop pool sits on a raised terrace with an outdoor fireplace, and it is markedly quieter than the ones across the street.

The rest of the complex is a walk away: six pools, including the grotto pool with its waterfall and slide, the white sand beach on Crescent Lake where swimming in the lake is not allowed, Mandara Spa at about 975 square metres, Camp Dolphin for the children, and the twenty-three restaurants and lounges of the whole resort.

What is worth knowing before you book

MagicBands are sold here rather than provided, and they will not let you charge a meal or a park purchase to your room: these hotels live outside Disney’s billing system. The Disney Dining Plan does not apply.

A daily resort fee is added to the bill and hotel parking is charged, while theme park parking is included on presentation of the room key. In exchange, nights count toward Marriott Bonvoy and points can be redeemed for stays here.
