Universal's Aventura Hotel

Aventura Hotel breaks with everything else at Universal Orlando Resort. Where its neighbours rebuild an Italian village or a Caribbean plantation, this one commits to a seventeen-storey glass tower, straight lines and floor-to-ceiling windows. It opened in August 2018 with about 600 rooms and a dozen suites, aimed at the traveller who would rather put the money into park tickets than into lobby scenery.

What your room key gives you

Early Park Admission first: up to one hour before the official opening, at whichever park Universal designates for that date. Added to that are free transport to the parks, delivery of in-park purchases back to the hotel and charging privileges across the resort.

Free Universal Express Unlimited, on the other hand, remains limited to Loews Portofino Bay, Hard Rock and Loews Royal Pacific. Aventura belongs to the Prime Value category and does not qualify. Express access can be purchased separately, and remember that no hotel benefit covers Epic Universe or Volcano Bay, whatever the property's category.

The rooms

A standard room runs from roughly 22 to 29 m² depending on configuration and sleeps four. The Deluxe category climbs to close to 37 m². Skyline view rooms on the upper floors look out over the three original parks, which turns into a show at sunset and during fireworks.

A dozen family suites of about 55 m² separate the children's space, and a suite paired with a connecting room sleeps up to nine. Every room has a tablet controlling lighting, air conditioning and room service. Orders sometimes arrive by delivery robot, which entertains children longer than you would expect.

Eating and drinking on site

Urban Pantry works as a food hall: rotisserie, pizza oven, wok cooked in front of you, burgers, sushi and gelato under one roof and without reservations. Bar 17 Bistro occupies the roof on the seventeenth floor, with a three-hundred-and-sixty-degree view over Orlando, cocktails and small plates. barVentura holds the lobby, Bar Sol the pool, and a full Starbucks counter handles rushed mornings.

The pool and the facilities

The outdoor pool comes with a hot tub, a splash pad for small children and a fire pit, with daily activities in season. The fitness centre is complimentary. A game room offers virtual reality and motion-tracking controllers. There is no spa here; the resort's only full spa is at Loews Portofino Bay.

Two things to know before booking: pets are not accepted at Aventura, and parking is charged.

Getting to the parks

Buses run to the parks and CityWalk roughly every fifteen minutes, from an hour before early entry until the middle of the night, through the central security checkpoint. The garden path also lets you walk to CityWalk past Sapphire Falls in twenty to twenty-five minutes. Epic Universe is served by a dedicated shuttle bus.

Aventura also has its own private pedestrian entrance to Volcano Bay, about a five-minute walk from the pool, opened on presentation of your room key. Note that Volcano Bay closes on 26 October 2026 for infrastructure work, with reopening announced for spring 2027. That walking entrance stays unavailable throughout the closure.

Who this hotel suits

It suits the traveller who plans to spend the days in the parks and wants a modern, clean, well-placed room without paying for scenery they will only see at dawn. The view from the upper floors and the rooftop bar add something the higher categories do not always offer.
