This is not Royalton Antigua

The confusion is frequent and worth clearing up at the outset. Royalton Antigua and Royalton CHIC Antigua are two separate resorts, about twenty kilometres apart, opened five years apart.

Dickenson Bay: the island's best beach

Dickenson Bay is the benchmark sand on Antigua: long, white, with calm water and a head-on sunset. Sandals Grande Antigua occupies another stretch of it, which gives some idea of the value of this piece of coast.

The position offers more than the beach. St. John's and its harbour are minutes away, and the restaurants and bars of the Runaway Bay and Dickenson Bay area are within walking or taxi distance. On an island where many resorts are isolated, that counts.

Which suite to choose

Entry categories come as Luxury Pool View and Luxury Ocean View. Diamond Club adds butler service, a reserved beach and lounge, a separate pool and upgraded spirits, with swim-out and oceanfront versions.

Where you eat on site

Seven restaurants share the property: Elements, Hunter Steakhouse, Olympus, Vespa, Haven Grill, Excite, and Pescari, built out over the water and conceived as culinary theatre as much as a dining room.

Five bars fill things out: the Taboo Lounge, the Oasis Beach Bar, the Moonlight Lobby Bar, the Diamond Club pool bar and the Sublime Swim-Up Bar. None of these venues requires a coupon or a supplement.

Is it an all-inclusive?

Yes, entirely, with no paid tier. The plan covers meals in all seven restaurants, drinks, room service and activities.

What to know before you book

The resort sits about eleven kilometres from V.C. Bird International Airport, fifteen to twenty minutes by road. Antigua lies inside the hurricane belt, whose season runs from 1 June to 30 November, with a peak in August and September.
